The introduction of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in schools is creating new ways for students and teachers to engage in information selection, gathering, sorting and analysis. ICTs also have the potential to enhance the management and administrative capacity of schools. The implementation and roll-out of ICTs in South African schools is not a simple task due to the extreme divergences of the schools be able to implement and use ICTs effectively. The aim of the eReady project is to assess and evaluate schools’ eReadiness maturity levels before any ICT interventions can be implemented.
